May Event

I dug in the Atelier and put together this little grouping of goodies for our May Piney Woods Event:

Up for offer this time is a selection of charm squares, a skein of Thread Gatherer silk thread, a spool of Trebizond silk thread, a bag of Ornela cream pearl seed beads, and an assortment of buttons.  I dropped the little flower shaped one in the back yard and will put in a substitute if I can't find it.

To enter:
Leave a comment on this blog post telling how you'd use the goodies!
The winner will be selected via random number generator the morning of Wednesday, May 9th.
Good luck!

Now- I am off to hunt for that little flower button, water the garden, and tat a while.  Until tomorrow~
Happy Tatting!

  1. Rachel that is a lovely giveaway, I am sure I would find something brilliant to tat, that is if I was lucky enough to win it.

If you want some water we have plenty, after all the rain we have had, we are still in drought mode yet our rivers in Somerset are bursting.

  2. I would use the goodies in many different ways. I think a lovely little pillow or quilt would be nice out of the charm squares, the tatting could go along the edges. I could use the beautiful thread and buttons to (try) and create a tatted masterpiece! :-)

  3. I'd make a small tatting bag set just for ME out of the goodies - OR a wall hanging.

  4. Wonderful array of goodies.
I would use the pearl seed beads to accent the knitted lace shawl that I am currently making my Mom.
The rest well ... I just don't know ... yet.
    Thanks for the opportunity.

  5. Oooh those are even lovelier than most of your sets of goodies. Cliche as it is, I'm just going to have to deal with the fact that my favorite color is pink! I've been thinking more and more about taking up or experimenting with crazy quilting recently... I might use the cloth for that. The thread of course goes to tatted projects (maybe CQ accents). And I am eyeing the butterfly project Lady Shuttlemaker just posted about. ( http://www.hmh.org/ed_butterfly1.shtml ) If I won this, probably some of it would go to that. Maybe a crazy-quilted butterfly as well as the tatted ones I am planning already.

  6. This is a very nice giveaway. The pearl beads would be a nice addition to a bracelet or a pair of earrings. Sure hope I win. :)

  7. I would use it for a graduation gift for our group's youngest tatter who has been tatting for the past 3 years. She's graduating from high school this month and soon will be off to college. Her favorite thread size is size 80 so the silk thread would be right up her alley. It has been a joy watching this young woman take to tatting and do beautiful work proving that tatting is not a "dying art." Our group has been proud to help nurture the next generation of tatters.

  16. As I have not yet learned to do tatting attatched to buttons, this set of goodies would give me an opportunity to learn a new technique then use it to try to create some pretty hair accessories for my grand-daughters and maybe some coordinating jewelry for their mothers. Please include me in your drawing.
