Early this morning we had a nice little shower. The garden and flowers in the yard have all perked-up and are showing off. Especially our daughter's favorite rose bush. It is a Jackson & Perkins variety called "Fairy Queen Rose".
The bush is short and low to the ground, covered in clusters of bright pink blooms.
I took these images while the blooms still had raindrops decorating their petals. This variety does not have much fragrance, but produces gorgeous blooms.
Now to see if I have any thread close to this color to tat something with. Regardless of whether I have a close color match, I believe I'll cut a few clusters for my little Waterford vase & admire them whilst tatting this afternoon.
Don't forget: The Piney Woods May Event ends on Wednesday, May 9th! Be sure to leave a comment on yesterday's post for your chance to win the lovely goodies.
Time for me to get back to tatting. May you have a beautiful day filled with creativity!
Until tomorrow~
Happy Tatting!
Beautiful rose and gorgeous colour. I hope you find some thread near to the colour.
ReplyDeleteI hope to have an afternoon of tatting I am designing something I have been asked for and hope to finish it and then when she has it I will post it on my blog.
Have a nice day
