'Tis the season to clean out the thread cabinets!

As always, to enter this giveaway you must be a follower of the blog. Simply click on the google "Join this Site" button located on the right of the blog just below the poll. Deadline for entry is: Sunday, December 4th. The winner will be selected by a random number generator and notified via email on Monday, December 5th. Good luck!
Please note: I tried the Lizbeth thread as everyone has been going on about how great it tats up. Well... I was sadly disappointed. It was NOT a good thread for my work. It felt a little too stretchy and I just did not like the texture or the way it tatted up. It has been my experience that different tatters prefer different types of threads. I have very strong opinions as to what works for me and what doesn't. The Lizbeth does not work for me at all- I wish it did. Hopefully, it will find a home where it will be used and enjoyed.
The Sulky Blendables 12 wt. quilting cotton thread tats like a dream!!! As do the others in this giveaway.
Jim is busy hanging the lights on the exterior of the house and could probably use a hand. I had better run and see if I can help. Until tomorrow~
Happy Tatting!
WOW what a great giveaway. Hope I win! :) I agree with the lizbeth comment, when i tried it with your pattern it didn't go all that great. I have gotten it to behave with me, and mow i love it. i guess it depends on the pattern!... craziness.
ReplyDeleteAnother awesomely generous giveaway! :-D I'm really astonished with how much you have to part with! LOL. I'd be crying! LOL.
ReplyDeleteI use LizBeth constantly. I've tried other threads, but not very many, so this could be just a lack of experience type thing. My problems with LizBeth are the normal tangles and those pesky random knots. >.< I haven't really found a thread that tangles any less, though, so I stick with LizBeth. Another appeal for me is that it's fairly inexpensive and, well, it's a long story, but let's just say I learned a valuable lesson about being broke last year and it's left me, well, even cheaper than I was before then! LOL.
I'm just plain rambling (this is why I only comment on blogs once in a while, LOL.).
Thank you for offering such wonderful giveaways!

Fabulous giveaway, Rachel. I'm still working on those interlocking chain rings, but they are looking better. :)

Very nice give away...what fun threads to try :-)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful giveaway Rachel, and I'd love to win! Thanks for all the inspiration, and the opportunity to add to my thread stash!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about Lizbeth! Can't use it for tatting, but it does work nicely for me when I crochet with it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the very generous giveaway! (I'm a follower through the RSS feed)
I love Lizbeth, but would truly adore trying the other varieties you are supplying. Thank you for clearing out your thread cabinet and sharing so graciously!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this fantastic giveaway! I hope I'll win... :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! Luck to all!
ReplyDeleteI use Lizbeth thread all the time. I like it but it does have a tendency to split at the ends. It has never really been a problem. If I could find Valdani or another brand in my neck of the Piney Woods, I would certainly give it a try. I have also tried Sulky brand for both sewing and tatting. HATED IT! I'm sure others love it!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL!
Wonderful assortment of threads! Very generous ; )
ReplyDeleteWonderful giveaway and beautifully photographed, as usual!

Thanks for the generous giveaway! What a nice variety of threads you have there! The best way to know which threads one likes is to actually try them, so I am hoping to win this one, as most would be new to me!
