Good morning!
I awoke feeling almost normal! Other than sneezing a bit, I'm much better. And I got some tatting done yesterday!!! See...
There is what I call a foundation round under the interlaced chains that attaches to the Rs previously tatted. I had added layered chains around the perimeter, but was not pleased with the look. After ripping that out, I decided that I should take an image to show you at least a bit of work. I'm contemplating what to do next. This piece is for a dear friend and I want it to be special, just for her.
The Fairy Queen pendant will be finished this weekend & featured in a special blogpost Sunday.
Jim is taking today off for us to have a date day, so I do not imagine I'll get much tatting done. I have no idea where we're going or what we're doing. He said it was a "surprise". Hmmm... I wonder.
Well, the kid is still snoring and will be late for school if I don't get her up soon. Have a great weekend and don't forget to check out the blog Sunday afternoon. Until then~
Happy Tatting!
Looks a lovely pendant, have a nice day ( what is a date day?)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
Margaret
I'm always fascinated to see how you weave those chains so artistically. This will be another gorgeous pendant!
ReplyDeleteI was so delighted to see your comment on my blog today! You have ceretainly had an influence on me ever since I discovered your blog early last year. After Frivole made me realize that your interlocking rings were possible to do with a shuttle, I spent a good part of the summer trying to master them (I was obsessed!) I certainly appreciated the video by Karen Cabrera! (The tatting community is amazing!) Now I have all kinds of rings, waiting for further embellishment, with interwoven chains!
I have taken baby steps with those (my post of Sept. 19) and was pleased with the results. I have a long way to go, however! And even though I've been tatting for 22 years, I haven't worked with beads too often.
Hope you're feeling better! Have a fun 'date day' and a great weekend! I'll be at a weekend tatting event, and will be proudly displaying my new 'interwoven' pendants, thanks to you!
