Good morning, dear readers!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
We will be having a quiet family dinner followed by a movie. Don't know what we plan to see yet, but so long as we're together, I really don't care. To those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving- what are you doing today? I have a couple of pies in the oven this morning and will be cooking turkey, collard greens, homemade rolls, my special mac & cheese, and green bean casserole.
After I get the cooking done, I will be putting on my new peridot green sweater with the orange Juliana brooch. Here is the brooch with tatted accents:
I had intended to add some rice pearl accents, but did not have enough to go all the way around the brooch. Still, I think it looks okay.
Well, I have LOTS of cooking to do. May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving & until Friday~
Happy Tatting!
Happy thanksgiving
ReplyDeleteI am sitting here thinking about doing some tatting, we have very bad weather, high winds and a lot more rain coming in, it's dark and only 2.30pm here in Somerset I will need the light on to tat.
Have a great day
Margaret
Happy Thanksgiving Rachel.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your inspiration and your gorgeous tatting.
We are having 2 feasts, today we will go to the neighbors and I will bring the stuffing and a mock apple pie (made with green tomatoes). Saturday we will get together with nearly all our children and grandkids at our daughter's house. 3 of the kids are playing host, so I get to sit and enjoy the kids.
It's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteHappy thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving one & all! I've had a great week of rest while visiting my folks in Louisiana. Did a little tatting which was inspired by Rachel -- thank you! Thank you! I embellished a couple of buttons with tatting & beads. Not nearly as pretty as the brooch above, but I'm content with my result.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed a Thanksgiving feast of mom's fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, blueberry muffins. Now just hanging out, sipping coffee, folks reading the paper, I'm catching up on-line. Blessings to everyone.
