Another day, another cameo...
It is absolutely sweltering here in the deep South! I am keeping myself cool and occupied by sipping some nice mint sweet tea and enhancing another cameo with tatting.
This is the cameo that gave me fits beading the bezel around it! It was a booger- but I think she is turning out okay. This is just the first little bit of tatting that I'm adding to her. So, dear readers, would any of you care to suggest a name for this difficult lady? There are a few bouncing around in my head, but none that I'm satisfied with. I'd appreciate the input.
Well, I do believe I need a sweet tea refill. May you have a marvelous weekend doing whatever it is that makes your heart sing! I will be working on cameos and Eternity pendants. Until next week~
Happy Tatting!
She looks a little bit uppity and stern... perhaps an old-fashioned name?
ReplyDeleteWhat type of thread did you use on the cameo brooch? Your tatting added the perfect touch. I think her name should be Eugenia or Regina.
ReplyDeleteDawna Penrod
I love how the tatting creates a such a unique design around the pendant! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is very classic in its looks, although your lovely tatting adds a unique twist. I'm thinking Roman times, and marble statues.......how about the name Marbella?
ReplyDeleteCornelia was the mother of the Gracchi and a famous Roman woman. When quizzed by a "friend " about her jewelry collection, she pointed to her two little sons and said "these are my pearls". So how about Cornelia?
ReplyDeleteShe's a very elegant cameo, I think it's got it Italian as cameos come from Italy, so I am going for Maria, it's an European name and quite common in Spain, Italy and Greece.
ReplyDeleteCould we have a little of your heat as all we have at the moment is rain
