  8. I just wanted to let you know that the quality and caliber of your designs inspire me greatly. I am a fairly new tatter (just 3 months) and was a bit scared about adding beads and crystals to my tatting. I came across your blog about a week ago, and I am now ready to take the next step. Reading your posts and seeing your designs has taught me so much. I am headed to our local bead shop tomorrow to get started, and thanks to you, I now know what sizes, the different types and finishes will look best (i.e glass beads lend an elegant feel to finished pieces and capture the light so much nicer than acrylic or plastic beads) Thank you so much for your hard work, generosity and inspiration! Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

    2. Hi Rachel,
I made some amazing purchases at the our local bead shop...I bought swarovski elements, really beautiful fresh water pearls, and czech beads, as well as a starter beading kit for my 5 year old daughter. I followed your Rosalie pendant pattern, and gave the finished item to my 13 year old daughter who absolutely adores it! (she tats and crochets, like I do) The best part about it all though, was the time we all spent together yesterday creating beauty and art, as well as cherished memories, using nothing more than thread, yarn, beads and our hands. :-) Have a wonderful weekend!

  10. Happy Valentine's Day to you, too! I love your work! Celtic tatting is so beautiful, one of these days I'll feel comfortable enough with my skills to tackle it. You're a major inspiration for me, not just with the knotwork but also the colors and the added bits of beads and buttons, etc.

  19. I must say that I loved the first posting of this design! I was absolutely amazed. Then the next day, I thought interesting! The third day I was sad. You almost could not see the original cross. But today, even with the original cross hiding, it turned out amazing. You always do such beautiful work. I dream of the day I can come close!!!
