Good morning, dear readers!
Well, I worked on a new pendant design yesterday, but it did not go as planned. The general idea will require more count adjusting and tweaking on my part, but I am going to do a special weekend giveaway event for the prototype!
The shape is not quite what I wanted, but I will be adding a couple of additional interlaced chains to the outer round.
This pendant is tatted with Valdani pearl cotton in M30 "Deep Waters" and Valdani Luxury Pearl Silk in "Forest Greens". It is accented with turquoise Czech seed beads, olivine Swarovski bicones and has a center enhancement of an antique abalone button with a dyed freshwater pearl. I'll add an image to this post later in the day after I add the outer finishing chains.
Okay, to enter the giveaway: simply leave a comment on this blogpost and let me know what you'd like to see for the holidays.
The winner will be selected by a random number generator and will be announced first thing Monday, November 12th, 2012. Good luck!!!
Lily Fey is staring holes in me and I am ready for some hot cocoa to jump start my day. Have a great weekend and check back later today as I will have a better image of the finished pendant up. Until Monday~
Happy Tatting!
I would love the opportunity to win one of your gorgeous pendants!
ReplyDeleteWhat would I like to see for the holidays? A snowflake pendant with lots of glitter!
Those are such pretty colours - I know why Diane commented as she loves blue!! For the holidays? White snowflakes for the tree.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of snowflakes too, but Christmas trees and wreaths sound beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteYour brooches and pendants are so lovely. I'd like for you to design a Christmas ornament.
ReplyDeleteRosemarie
I just love your tatting. I am always inspired to try and design things when I look at your blog. I would like you to design a snowflake pattern.
ReplyDeletehe he. I like the broach, very rich colors. looks like the consensus is a snowflake, maybe to be used with or without a mop button in the center. Sounds pretty to me.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pendant,
ReplyDeleteIn some words they have said something on the lines I was think, I would like to see to design a Christmas pendant something that is especially for Christmas that will go with any outfit but looks and feels Christmassy
Have a nice weekend
Margaret
That is gorgeous and the colors are wonderful. I love Christmas decorations - traditional Ivy with berries, white snowflakes and red anything that looks good on the tree.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see white, white, more white, pearls and satin and more white! maybe a minuscule, tiny, teensy, delicate touch of green...
ReplyDeleteFox : )
Maybe a white and red ring with earrings to match! Such fun to see what everyone wants.
ReplyDeleteThe pendant is gorgeous as is all of your tatting.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see Christmas Ornaments.
Your pendants are always amazing and I love the colors you choose. For the holidays, I think trees with bead ornaments and snowflakes. Tatted snowflakes are the only kind we get here in Florida
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Pendant but I love all of your tatting. Christmas Ornaments would be great.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Rachel it's Beautiful!! My favorite colors by the way. I knew it would be stunning. You always do such lovely work:-)
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful design Rachel, I love it!! I'd like to see something in red & white to remind me of old fashioned peppermint ribbon candy. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am new to view your blog (Thanks Pinterest), and I love your work. I would like to see your best idea for a necklace/earring holiday combo. I am always looking for a new snowflake pattern too-I made a set of 15 snowflakes for all my kids for their Christmas trees this year. (6 sets in all).
ReplyDeleteStunning and I love the colour combination two of my favourites. For Christmas a glittery snowflake and star set.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed how quickly you tatted this gorgeous pendant, designing as you tatted! The colors are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see "Rosalie" done in white with red, white and gold accents. It kind of has a snowflake shape and I always like seeing the interlocking rings. Also, last year you showd an awesome 'mini-ornament' that looked like a wreath, with lots of tiny beads in the center. It would make a very cool pendant in shades of green with tiny red or gold sead beads.
This is a beautiful pendant -- the interlocking chains just amaze me. For Christmas, I'd love to see a multi-step Christmas ornament with a fancy doo-dad -- kind of a progressive pattern where folks tat along -- maybe offer differing skill level options. Thank you for your generosity with this give-away.
ReplyDeleteStunning pendant!!!!! As usual, you are a wonderful tatting designer!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see and ware for Christmas, of course, a white, red or black glittered necklace with earings.
Thanks for sharing your ideas!
Jolanda
I am so jealous of your talent! Wish I could take classes from you.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see ornaments, but pendants are beautiful for Christmas. I'd personally like something against the grain of the traditional colors, but I'm not sure which. Jewel tones? Pastels? I need to find a Christmas store to look for ideas!
Lovely! Pls count me in.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see a simple to tat up pendant/earring incorporating crystals that can be made for Christmas presents!
