Thank goodness it's Friday!!!
I am so ready for the weekend! It has been a very busy week here in the Piney Woods- designing, tatting, frogging & tatting some more. Not that my weekend will be much different, but I do like it when my sweeties are home and we have time together as a family.
I visited a new local quilt store today (blog feature to come in the near future) and purchased some fabric. It is a delightful sage green with yellow roses. I'm going to use it along with some daffodil yellow 3mm Swarovski bicones and freshwater pearls on a project this weekend. Also, I dug out an old pair of earrings Jim gave me MANY years ago- some little resin cameos in a gold-filled setting. I had added tatted accents to these, but wanted to give them a facelift with some of the fantastic Valdani Luxury Pearl Silk, so that is on my weekend "to do" list additionally.
What are you up to this weekend, dear readers? I really do love to read your comments & find out what you're doing, too!
DON"T FORGET TO COMMENT ON WEDNESDAY'S POST FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN THE MAY GIVEAWAY EVENT!!! THE WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON MAY 9TH- GOOD LUCK!
Well, I am going to get back to tatting and working on a special surprise for next week. May you have an absolutely fantastic weekend doing whatever it is that makes your soul sing!
Until Monday~
Happy Tatting!
The cameos are lovely- delicate!
ReplyDeleteI'm driving all over the Twin Cities tomorrow- going to a roller skating party for my 40-something year old sister, a Middle School play in the evening, grades and hopefully a convoluvus bookmark in a vintage thread for my darling little daughter.
Beautiful cameos,
ReplyDeleteWe are going to Oxford to see my husbands father before we go on holiday, or rather vacation as you say in the US. We go in ten days to Crete. But we have a very busy week to come but I want to put some scheduled posts for while we are away, which I hope to start on Monday which is a bank holiday here.
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
Margaret
In about an hour, I'll be leaving for the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. Tomorrow, I'll be working a church fundraiser.
