Happy tatting!
The perfect goodies to try some beautiful earring patterns I have in mind...such an assortment of pretty theads and pearls! The fabric is gorgeous as well...I would love to have it to make a framed tatting display board or maybe a lace trimmed summer scarf...or ??? The possibilities :-). As usual, your giveaways are fun to dream about and will be even more fun for the lucky winner!
ReplyDeleteIf I won, I'd get over my paralyzing fear of trying to tat with beads. I've seen some gorgeous rosaries done with beads, and I'd love to make one for my grandmother who taught me how to tat. The batik and the buttons? I'm not sure about that, but I have crafty friends and roommates who will help me brainstorm!
ReplyDeleteP.S. The day you announce the winner is my birthday...that'd be an awesome birthday gift! ;)
Wonderful giveaway to tatting a beautiful fan this summer!
ReplyDeleteThanks and I hope to be a winner :) have a lovely day!
I was just given the perfect tatting pattern that would show off the button in the giveaway! I'd love to play with the HDT -- maybe in small doilies. I'd love to make a scarf out of that beautiful fabric. The beads, well maybe a necklace and earrings set? What a beautiful prize packagae to set our imaginations spinning. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI'd tat myself a new bracelet. Thanks for the best giveaway, yet!
ReplyDeleteI might make a blouse from the batik. The beads would be nice for earrings (I have yet to make any). I've never had any HDT to date — maybe doilies? And I'll look up some button hearts or crosses to tat.

Ooh, what a lot of awesome items... I could use to do up tatted accessories for my next teddy! Keeping my fingers crossed for good luck. :)
ReplyDeleteThe possibilities are simply endless! Congrats to the lucky winner!
ReplyDeleteOoh wow these are my colors. I would make a bag with tatting and beads. Also I would make some tatted jewelry.
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel, what a wonderful giveaway. I have so many ideas in my head for the Batik, beads and buttons. I would 1st make one of my tatting kits from the Batik and adorn it with the beautiful buttons and beads made into tatted flowers, stems and trim from the beautiful threads included with the giveaway. I would aslo use the beautiful square button as a clasp or is that a bead. In either case, it would be used as the clasp. With the beads left over, I would make a pendant necklace with the rest of the beads and buttons. I hope that sparks an idea in your mind too.
ReplyDeleteOh Rachel --- once again a very generous and gorgeous offering! The colors are spectacular and I think I'd like to make something wearable --- a pendant, earrings, broach, etc.
ReplyDeleteThe items are beautiful! I would make something for my husband's great-granddaughter who was born May 7, 2012, one day after his 84th birthday. I have already made a white bonnet and booties.
ReplyDeleteJust love these colors. You always have such good taste. I can see a special bag and a brooch and rings andnecklace ooh the choices are endless.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway! Love the colors and after viewing what you have done with buttons, I've started searching for more unique buttons. Thank You for posting new patterns.
ReplyDeleteplease. count me on this new giveaway!! though we are not in summer in this part of the world.. so many things to tat appears in my mind with so fantastic things!! but sure a choker or a bracelet may be..
ReplyDeletethanks !!
Count me in! Been wanting to try a couple of necklace/choker tatting patterns with beads!
ReplyDeleteI could see the material as a bag with tatted and bead accents. Or maybe a blouse with a tatted/beaded yoke and matching earrings. My mind races at the possiblities. Thank you so much for the generous give-away.
ReplyDeleteCount me in, please. I'm in 'sewing mode' at the moment and could use thread and fabric!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a generously inspirational giveaway! Think I'd let the materials tell me what they'd want to be, but the batik fabric would definitely go into a tatting bag...
ReplyDeleteCount me in please! Not sure what I would tat but it would give me a good excuse to not pull weeds and do other outside work for a day. There is a necklace I want to tat.
ReplyDeleteNice booty! What a sweet thing to do. When I saw all these things, I got inspiration for two things. One is a tatted kite and the other is a tatted fan. I would use the fabric and yarn for both and the beads for the fan. :) Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty collection. I would make a tatting bag from the lovely fabric and try designing some lovely brooches with the czech glass buttons, incorporating some of the beads and the thread. I think I would just look at the lovely pearls for awhile waiting for a design to come to me.
ReplyDeleteI would make a keepsake quilt style pillow covered in embroidery, beads, maybe a tatted ruffle edge. Or a wall hanging... I could also see myself turning the fabric into a book cover with beads and such on the spine. I could make a set of beaded tatted loveliness. So many possibilities!
ReplyDeleteI would make some tatted jewelery with the beads. And Make some flowers to decorate my daugter's room.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful surprise! I adore such pretty things — threads, beads, buttons. And I'd like to be counted in this giveaway ))
ReplyDeleteI would make a miniture crocheted teddy bear wearing a dress from the material. I would also tat up a little hat and trim for the dress incorporating the beads as decorations. Plus I would tat up a small doily for it all to sit on. The moment I saw the colors I saw it all in my head :-)
ReplyDeleteA Snap Bag or tatting bag would be lovely. I'd trim it AND also make some jewelry useing the Branching Encapsulation method I learned from Sherry Pence's new book. Karen in OR
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that make a beautiful evening bag embellished with beading and tatted edgings? It's such a generous offering. Thanks for even the chance of receiving it.
ReplyDeleteI'd make something lovely for my mother's birthday! She is always so supportive of my tatting, gave me her mother's shuttles and proudly displays anything I make for her. :)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many possibilities! A wonderful necklace with bracelet come to mind.
ReplyDeleteThansk for letting us at InTatters know about this giveaway! I am not in summer either, but I love the subtle colours in the prize. That fabric makes me think of a pretty bag, and the pearls and beads of earrings and necklaces...
ReplyDeleteGreat give-away! I would most likely make a project bag or two from the fabric and embellish with the thread and beads..
ReplyDeleteOne of the tatters in our local group is graduating from high school this week. This would make a wonderful gift for her to take off to college so she can be inspired to keep on with her tatting.
ReplyDeleteI have two cameos (plus tatting supplies) that have come to me through the family. I've been wanting to learn tatting. I love how you expand the beauty of your cameos and would like to do the same. I could then display the cameos and not keep them hidden away in a safe.
ReplyDeleteWould be awesome to do up some gorgeous earings.
ReplyDeleteHello, I would love to participate in the draw, I love the materials, ideal for biju.
ReplyDeleteMabel
What lovely colours! I seldom know what I want to tat before I sit down to tat something looking at the thread I want to use. If the give avay heads in my direction, it would probably turn into a dragon or two, and maybe a bag with a flowery (dragony) decoration.
ReplyDeletePlease count me in. The ideas are limitless. But, I can see a beautiful embellished wristlet bag.
ReplyDeleteIt would be very hard to decide what to do. I would use it in tatting and beads in tatting or knitting. Beautiful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteDecisions decisions! so many ideas and not enough time, would love to be counted in.
ReplyDeleteI have not tatted in years, however, following a link from Valdani's I have found you. What an inspiration, it does make we want to get out the shuttle again. Thank you for showing me another avenue in life!
ReplyDeleteI will have a new daughter-in -law soon and these are colors she loves. It would be nice to make her a keepsake bag with tatting around it and possibly a necklace and earrings. I would love to be counted in your drawing!
ReplyDeleteThese are so lovely; thank you for sharing. I saw "crazy quilt" first and then I saw "jewelry" -- and then I thought how wonderful it would be to stitch something as a gift for someone special.
ReplyDeletemuchas gracias de la oportunidad. tengo muchas ideas, pero poca suerte.
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel, I read your blog just about every day. I somehow missed this entry. What a beautiful summer stash! That could keep me busy most of the summer! I love the colors. I just started using button centers in pendants ans the one that you are showing is great. The fabric would make a wonderful scarf. Please count me in.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't going to enter, because I already have so much. However, I've been dreaming of an Origami pouch out of that beautiful Batik fabric, embellished with tatting, beads, and buttons. Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a lovely collection of beauties! I would likely look and feel for some time before tatting and/or sewing. No drooling, however! Tatting with exquisite materials is an extra pleasure.
